Base8Ball is a browser-based implementation of Statis Pro Baseball. This policy describes what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and what third-party services touch your data.
We don't sell your data. We don't run advertising. We don't use tracking cookies.
1. Account data
When you create an account we store your email address and a hashed password. Your email is used only to send account-related messages (email verification, password resets, and—if you subscribe—billing receipts). We never share it with third parties for marketing.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings (Account › Profile), or by emailing [email protected]. Account deletion permanently removes your profile and payment details; your league history is anonymized and retained for other members.
2. Game & league data
Game logs, roster decisions, lineup selections, draft picks, and league standings are stored so you can resume games, review boxscores, and maintain multi-season continuity. This data is linked to your account and is not publicly accessible unless you share a direct link to a public standings page.
3. Cloudflare Turnstile
The sign-in and registration forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a non-interactive bot-detection widget. When you load these forms, Turnstile runs in your browser and sends signals (such as browser characteristics and interaction timing) to Cloudflare's servers to verify you're human. No challenge image or checkbox is ever displayed.
This processing is performed by Cloudflare, Inc. under their own privacy policy. We do not receive or store the raw signals Turnstile collects — only a pass/fail verification result.
4. Analytics
The public marketing pages use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not share data with advertisers. Aggregate page-view counts help us understand which features are interesting to visitors.
The authenticated application (game play, league management) does not run any third-party analytics scripts.
5. Billing
If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe provides us with a subscription status and an anonymous customer token. Your billing email and subscription tier are stored in our database so we can gate premium features.
6. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking
cookies are set. Cloudflare may set a __cf_bm
cookie as part of bot management — this is a Cloudflare infrastructure cookie
that expires at the end of your browser session.
7. Data retention
Account and game data is retained indefinitely to support multi-season leagues. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized game statistics (no user linkage) may be retained for calibration of the simulation engine.
